Mark Fairweather Tall
We enjoyed some excellent celebrations in the run up to Christmas. Below are a selection of some of the things that happened, along with one or two photos...
Sunday 22nd December
We welcomed chidren and parents from Falcon Junior School to our morning service as they performed a wonderful play, written by a teacher at the school and a member of our church, Alan Barnes. It was an excellent occasion and a blessing to welcome so many parents from the local community.
The church fills up before the service begins... During the performance...
Once again we joined with Surrey Chapel at Anglia Square on the Saturday before Christmas to sing carols and invite people to Christmas services.
18th and 19th December - Crib Service
The now traditional end-of-term service for our parent and toddler group was much enjoyed. We had some trouble getting the characters to stand up straight - especially the angel on the roof!
17th December - Luncheon Club Christmas lunch
An excellent Christmas lunch was provided for around 50 people at our weekly Luncheon Club. Thanks to all those involved who made it possible
The tables are set... Enjoying Lunch
Monday 16th - Men's Christmas lunch
Some of the men from the church got together for a pre-Christmas meal.
We were delighted to marry Bill and Lily and pray God's blessing on them as they start their married lives together in Ipswich
Saying 'goodbye' to some great friends
We were sorry to say goodbye to the Varleys as they go to live in New Zealand. They have been very much a part of church life and we will miss them. Their final Sunday included the dedication of Gemma and a farewell lunch as we send them on their way with lots of love...
